Short answer: The zombie couple trend is a short AI video in three beats — a cold reunion with a partner who has turned, an embrace instead of a fight, and a same-pose cut into a warm memory where both are healthy. Below are free prompts you can paste into any AI video tool that accepts reference images. If you would rather skip prompting, our Zombie Couple photo-to-video generator has the story built in and also accepts one shared couple photo (left person = Survivor, right person = Zombie partner).
These prompts are our own original wording. They describe the general story format people are sharing, not a copy of any specific film, and they do not use any film's footage, music or characters.
Before you paste: prepare your photos
- Two portraits (most tools): Photo 1 = the Survivor, Photo 2 = the partner who turns. One face per photo, front-facing, even light, no sunglasses or heavy filters.
- One couple photo (if your tool supports a single reference with two people): both faces clearly visible, side by side. Say in the prompt who is on the left and who is on the right.
- Only use photos of adults who agreed to appear.
Prompt 1 — Two portraits (classic reunion → memory)
A cinematic, photorealistic vertical short film with one same-pose match cut.
PERSON A is the person in reference image 1. PERSON B is the person in reference image 2. Keep both faces consistent with their reference images in every shot.
Part 1 (cold, blue-grey light, dusk, an empty house at the edge of a quiet town): PERSON B stands in the doorway, infected — pale grey skin, faint dark veins, clouded eyes, torn clothes. No blood, no gore, no weapons. PERSON A recognizes them, hesitates, then steps forward and embraces PERSON B. PERSON B slowly hugs back.
Match cut on the same embrace and the same camera framing.
Part 2 (warm golden-hour light, a sunlit field): PERSON A and PERSON B, both healthy and human, in the same hug; they laugh and spin around.
Sound: original ambient score only — cold wind and low bass in part 1, soft piano and birdsong in part 2. No dialogue, no lyrics, no on-screen text.
Prompt 2 — One shared couple photo
A cinematic, photorealistic vertical short film with one same-pose match cut.
The reference image shows two people. PERSON A is the person on the LEFT. PERSON B is the person on the RIGHT. Keep both faces consistent with the reference image throughout.
Part 1 (cold, dim light, a rainy train platform at night): PERSON B has turned into a gentle zombie — pale skin, clouded eyes, no blood, no gore. PERSON A recognizes them and, instead of running, opens their arms. They embrace.
Match cut on the same embrace, same framing.
Part 2 (warm afternoon light, the same two people on a sunny street from their past): both healthy and smiling, still holding each other.
Sound: original score and ambience only, no dialogue, no lyrics, no on-screen text.
Prompt 3 — Halloween variant (zombie couple halloween)
Same two-part structure as above. Part 1 setting: a porch with carved pumpkins, falling autumn leaves and a green-tinted moon; PERSON B wears friendly, non-graphic zombie makeup. Part 2: the same couple at a cozy autumn Halloween party, both healthy, laughing in costumes.
No blood, no gore, no copyrighted characters, no dialogue.
Tips that fix most failed takes
- Keep the labels. "PERSON A / PERSON B" (or LEFT / RIGHT) stops faces from swapping after the cut.
- Say "same pose, same framing" at the cut. The match cut is the emotional payoff; a slow fade weakens it.
- Write "no blood, no gore". It keeps the clip shareable and avoids content filters.
- Use the longest duration your tool allows. Short clips often skip the memory. On our site the photo templates require at least 9 seconds; current options: [TBD-产品].
- Re-roll when faces drift. The zombie shots are where likeness breaks first.
- Label it as AI when you post, and follow each platform's rules.

Is the zombie trend prompt free to use? Yes. The prompts on this page are free to copy. Generating video in any tool, including ours, may cost credits.
Which AI video tools can use these prompts? Any image-to-video or reference-to-video tool that accepts one or two reference images. Feature names and availability change, so check the tool's current documentation.
Can I use one photo of both of us? Use Prompt 2 if your tool accepts a single reference with two people. On our site, choose the shared-photo mode: the person on the left becomes the Survivor and the person on the right becomes the Zombie partner.
Why do our faces swap after the cut? The model lost track of who is who. Keep the PERSON A/B (or LEFT/RIGHT) labels in every part of the prompt, and use clear, front-facing photos.
Is this the prompt from a specific film? No. These are our own original prompts describing the general format. The viral clip people often cite is an independent AI short film; see Is the zombie couple video from a movie?.
Is there a Chinese version? Yes — 中文版提示词.
